The New PSA Screening Poster Boy

In the musical "Cotton Patch Gospel," Jesus makes his first appearance to the disciples after His resurrection.  His first words to the group are, "It worked!"

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May. Last Wednesday I had a robot assisted radical prostatectomy. I spent less than 24 hours in a hospital room; Monday I had a doctor's office visit to get the catheter removed and hear the pathology report.  I received a clean bill of health - the cancer was fully contained in the gland and is now GONE! There is no follow-up treatment necessary.

I have learned much in the past two months about this dreaded disease.  I recognize there is debate on whether or not such aggressive action should be taken; there is even debate on whether regular PSA screening should be recommended or not.  But for me, it worked!
